Dynamic stormwater treatment products company is seeking Regional Sales Engineers for east and west coast territories. These positions will require the individual to work closely with civil engineering consultants, contractors and government officials to provide technical product information and sound engineering/problem-solving advice.

Responsibilities of the Regional Sales Engineer include:

  • Identifying and developing all territory sales potential
  • Conducting sales calls, engineering presentations and obtaining favorable specifications/regulatory approvals for the products
  • Initiating sales leads and managing these through the quote and invoice project phases
  • Following-up with and tracking of all project decision-makers on a consistent basis
  • Facilitating the production of submittals, production documentation and installation instructions
  • Supporting multiple projects in a wide geographic area

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • BS or MS in Civil or related engineering field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 1 to 2 years experience in site civil projects
  • Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation

Job Description
Fabco Industries, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales\Technical Support Engineer to join our team. This is an entry to mid-level position, in which the successful candidate will assist and support the Regional Sales Engineer by identifying, designing, and implementing solutions to meet customer needs and assist in providing customer support for on-going projects. The Inside Sales\Technical Support Engineer will promote and sell Fabco's products to recognized or potential customers and dealers in an assigned geographic territory and works closely with engineering consultants, contractors, and regulators.

Responsibilities of the Regional Sales Engineer include:

  • Works as a collaborative member of our sales team to sell company products.
  • Obtains favorable specifications for our products.
  • Provides sales support for multiple projects. Consistently follows up on projects.
  • Provides project support for submittals, production and product delivery during construction.
  • With minimal supervision, plans and organizes territory coverage and technical support to assure company meets or exceeds established sales goals.
  • Develops and maintains statistical data on competitors' products, quality, sales, pricing, production facilities, limitations and marketing procedures.
  • Using Regional Sales Manager guidelines, negotiates terms and conditions of sales contracts involving sales price, discounts, freight, delivery, rejected or excess material disposition, etc., to assure a profit and a high level of customer satisfaction. Gathers necessary information for determination of credit worthiness. Monitors transactions through completion, including collections and assists in resolving any discrepancies or making any changes during the course of the transaction.
  • Interfaces with customer representatives to ascertain project requirements and provide any necessary technical assistance or service. Gathers pertinent project information, and provides explanations and direction to customer on products and applications.
  • Effectively utilizes technology and process to drive efficiency.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Education - BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
  • 4 years of related experience in construction, product sales, manufacturing, customer service, inside sales and technical support, business development, and marketing.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization providing courteous, timely and accurate information.
  • Demonstrated analytical competencies in basic math skills. Technical aptitude with respect to civil site plans and specifications a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems involving several variables while operating in a dynamic, fluid, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize situations requiring urgent attention is critical. Time management and organization skills are required.
  • Requires ability to read and comprehend documents including customer orders, price lists, training and procedural manuals.
  • Demonstrated competencies in computer software (MS Office, CRM Database). Previous CRM experience a plus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new concepts, processes and product information.
  • Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays within designated sales territories.
