Nyloplast Catch It
Sediment Filtration Bag
The Nyloplast-ADS “Catch it™” is a 2-piece, flexible, filtering bag device that is optimized for the capture of heavy sediment loads as well as trash and debris from storm water runoff. Catch it™ units are available in 2 lengths and sized to fit 12, 15, 18, 24 and 30* inch diameter Nyloplast drainage structures.

The short versions are ideal for Inline Drain systems or shorter structures; while the Long versions fit the Curb inlet and other Road and Highway structures. Both units are designed to fit the needs of both pre- and post construction applications as described under the NPDES Ph II regulations.
Simple & Effective
The Catch it™ consists of two primary components:
- A rigid, molded plastic mounting shroud with an integral round, metal support frame
- A replaceable Geotextile filtering bag.
The mounting shroud is sized to fit Nyloplast-ADS iron grates, frames, and transition plates, giving the units a wide range of adaptability. The metal support frame adds substantial structural rigidity to the plastic shroud while providing strong, easy to reach attachment tabs for the replaceable bag. As an added feature 4-lifting eyelets are also provided on the 18 and 24 inch size shrouds to allow hoisting of these heavy bags for quick cleanout.
The filtering bags are manufactured from a woven, polypropylene Geotextile material. The bags are attached to the shroud assembly using High strength, corrosion resistant polypropylene clips that are permanently riveted to the nylon-web reinforced top edge of the bag. The unique attachment method of the bag to the shroud leaves an annular opening at the top of the bag which is used as an emergency by-pass.
The high strength and high flow characteristics of this Geotextile material provides the Catch it with exceptional load holding capacity and flow rates. During in house testing, the largest 24” size showed no failures when filled to capacity with over 350 pounds of fine sand and water – even when hoisted out of the ground for cleaning!

Maintenance schedule:
Due to the variety of sizes and potential uses, a maintenance schedule will have to be developed by the end-user based on actual field experience.
